Education Program

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and its socio-economic impact, many individuals are

experiencing varying degrees of powerlessness and challenges. Within this context, relationships

have been affected, leading to conflicts and friction. We have self-funded the production of six

microfilms with the theme of "relationships." Approximately 100 young people have taken on key

roles in the production, including directors, writers, actors, cinematographers, editors, composers,

lyricists, and more. These microfilms aim to explore the dynamics of human relationships and support

young individuals determined to enter the creative industry.

Charity screenings have been organized in theaters, along with school tours to share the films. This

initiative aims to allow more people to appreciate microfilms created by young individuals and

experience their dreams related to the creative industry and filmmaking.

The issue of food waste is becoming increasingly important as an environmental concern.

It's crucial to instill a sense of food appreciation and environmental awareness from a young age.

With the support of sponsors, our foundation has organized the "Masters of Food Waste"

campus environmental program. From November of this year to June 2021, we have conducted

design thinking workshops in 10 primary and secondary schools, involving over 200 upper

primary and secondary students. The goal is to cultivate empathy among students regarding

food waste issues and encourage them to brainstorm solutions to address these problems,

which can be implemented within their school or community.

The "Life in Color" Microfilm Creative Project is organized by the Zhi Shi Charitable

Fund and funded by the Ping Wo Fund. Its primary goal is to engage teenagers in

a microfilm creative project that allows them to gain a deeper understanding of the

harms of online gambling and its impact on their future. The project aims to

encourage teenagers to adopt a responsible attitude towards gambling while also

helping them discover positive interests and develop a proactive and responsible

life attitude.

In addition to using multimedia formats to promote the message of avoiding excessive

online gambling, the project includes experiential activities and design thinking

workshops. These activities encourage participants to empathize with the current situation

of online gambling and help them develop solutions. The project also provides participants

with filmmaking skills workshops to enhance their personal skills and unlock their potential.

After the competition, participants can continue to create their own works, thereby extending

the project's impact and conveying various positive messages.

The "Change and Hope in Times of Crisis - Online Learning Short Film Series" is a collection

of short films that likely explore the challenges and opportunities  presented by online learning,

especially in the context of crisis situations. These films may showcase  real-life stories,

experiences, and perspectives of individuals and communities who have had to adapt to online

learning due to various crises.

This project, funded by the Youth Development Commission, focuses on the theme of dreams

and is tailored to the characteristics and needs of students from different schools.

It aims to guide young people in early career planning, fostering positive education.

The program covers various aspects, ranging from self-discovery to industry exposure,

enabling young individuals to start realizing their career aspirations.

In addition to traditional academic and career options, participants have the opportunity

to explore emerging industries, expanding their possibilities for career planning.

Furthermore, the program incorporates innovative thinking training and social engagement,

equipping students to respond to societal needs and promote social innovation.

Co-organized by UBS Group and the Wisdom Hong Kong Charitable Foundation, a series of

entrepreneurship education activities are introduced, including lectures, corporate visits,

entrepreneurship workshops, and more. These activities allow students to experience the

entrepreneurial stage, unleash their creativity, and cultivate an entrepreneurial spirit.

Students get to understand the operations of social enterprises and business organizations,

sparking their entrepreneurial ideas. Additionally, they grasp the concepts of design thinking,

gain insights into customer consumption patterns and choices, and put entrepreneurial plans

into practice to address the needs of various segments of society.

This activity is sponsored by YTT (有定堂）and executed with the assistance of La Violet Education

（籽識教育）. The "BYO Container Go Green" environmental shop project focuses on the theme

of "No Plastic, No Disposable." It collaborates with local restaurants such as Hong Kong Star

Restaurant, Local Ginger, and Time Relation to offer discounts for using environmentally friendly

reusable containers. Through the promotion of this initiative, it aims to reduce waste at the source.

The project also spreads environmental knowledge to the general public in Hong Kong, raises citizens'

environmental awareness, and encourages people to actively participate in environmental protection by

reducing the use of disposabletakeout containers and bringing their own food containers.

The program integrates design thinking with everyday life, encouraging students to think from

the perspective of users about energy usage in their daily lives. It aims to build empathy and

strengthen their connection with the community. Student teams work on innovative energy

-saving solutions for homes, schools, and communities, creating prototypes in a Maker Space.

This fosters creativity and teamwork, follows the STEM learning model, and encourages students

to set green living goals and change their lifestyle habits.

The poverty education program supported by Oxfam Hong Kong and organized by

La Violet Charity Foundation aims to engage secondary school students in exploring

poverty issues in Hong Kong and connecting them with the community.

Through design thinking workshops, field visits, and experiential learning, students

gain a deeper understanding of the causes and impact of poverty. They also harness

their creativity to conceive and implement people-centered innovative volunteer services.

The project takes place in Hong Kong and involves collaborating with six local coffee shops.

It offers flexible cooperation models to these small businesses. Additionally, the project includes

vide production for the shops and utilizes social media platforms for marketing. It also connects

with nine Instagram foodie accounts for online promotion.

Our organization is committed to promoting the holistic development of young people

by collaborating with different schools. Aim to support schools with fewer resources in

organizing volunteer services, allowing students to understand the needs of various

individuals in society and develop a sense of responsibility and mission towards the community.

This is a commendable initiative that can help students become socially responsible and

engaged citizens while also addressing the needs of underprivileged schools and communities. 

In the 2017-2018 academic year, Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Wong Fut Nam College applied to us

for funding.The purpose was to support 16 Form One students from low-income families, providing

them with additional resources to participate in activities aimed at developing their creativity,

problem-solving skills, teamwork abilities, and unleashing their individual potential. The school has

faced challenges in student enrollment, with many students having special educational needs,

low motivation, and lower academic performance. The program's experiential learning approach

has shown significant positive effects and has received media coverage for its effectiveness. 

The program organized lectures and workshops for 50 secondary schools, where students had

the opportunity to learn about engineering through activities such as 3D printing, app design,

drone technology, and solar-powered car construction. These hands-on experiences allowed

students to gain insight into the work of engineers and increase their awareness of environmental

protection and renewable energy. These activities likely aimed to inspire and educate students

about the role of engineering in addressing environmental challenges and promoting sustainable

practices.

The program sponsored by Oxfam Hong Kong and organized by La Violet Charity Foundation

aims to educate students from 15 secondary schools in Hong Kong about poverty-related issues,

promote design thinking, engage with the community, and understand the needs of different groups.

Through this program, students are encouraged to develop innovative solutions to address various

needs within the community, particularly related to poverty and social issues. It appears to be a

hands-on educational initiative designed to empower students with problem-solving skills and a

better understanding of societal challenges.
